About the book

David Chang, Dominique Crenn, Sean Brock and a host of influential chefs are captured by Jeff Scott in this book documenting culinary obsession.

The book follows Scott’s adventures into the private places that inspire today’s most innovative and important chefs. By gaining access to their kitchens, private lives, and personal notebooks Jeff provides a better appreciation for the stories of these culinary geniuses, while also exploring the very origin of idea and inspiration. Scott delves into illusive concepts of idea evolution and creative process with clarity and depth.

This book is the result of a rich collaboration between these visionary chefs and Scott’s wild obsessions. Scott spends time in the kitchens (and the fields) with some of this generation’s most inventive American chefs, including: Jordan Kahn - Red Medicine, Dominique Crenn & Juan Contreras - Atelier Crenn, Justin Cogley - Aubergine, Joshua Skenes - Saison, David Chang - Momofuku Culinary Lab, Alex Stupak - Empellon Cocina, Vinny Dotolo - Animal, Shawn Gawle - Pastry Chef Saison, Jenna Rozelle - Naturalist, Julian Van Winkle - Pappy Van Winkle, Zakary Pelaccio - Fish & Game.

Face have teamed up with Jeff Scott to exclusively bring this book to the UK. With a foreword by Zakary Pelaccio and photography by Jeff Scott.
